Balfa Week classes are immersive, multi-day lessons and workshops that have you studying face-to-face with master musicians, cooks, and craftspeople in a nature-based setting. Spontaneous jamming puts you knee-to-knee with musicians of all levels from master to novice players. 

Schedule a one-to-one lesson with your favorite staff musician to dig deeper into a tune that’s stuck in your head. Discuss the creative process with Louisiana folk crafts artists. Learn about Louisiana cooking during classes with regional chefs. Imagine yourself peeling a pile of crawfish. Then head to the nightly barn dances to test out new moves you practiced in class with new friends. Play. Dance Eat. Repeat. That’s Balfa Week!
